Sandwirt and Museum Passeier
The Sandwirt is the birthplace of
Tyrolean patriot Andreas Hofer (1767-1810). In the Passeier Museum, the Tyrol's fight for independence as well as the traditions and culture of the Passeier Valley are well illustrated.
Jaufenburg
The Jaufenberg, a mighty fortress above St. Leonhard, was built in the 13th century by the lords of
Passeier. Today the ruins are housed in a museum about the fortress history.
Schneeberg
At 2355m above sea level, the
Schneeberg is the highest mine in Europe. Since the 13th century, lead and zinc have been mined here.

Castle Tirol
The
Castle Tirol is the main palace of the Dukes of Tyrol and was built starting in the 14th century. Today it houses the South Tyrolean regional
Museum for Culture and Local History.
Garden Trauttmansdorff and the Touriseum
Around the
Palace Trauttmansdorff you will find the botanical garden, the water and terrace garden, the sun garden, as well as the forest garden. Together they offer an extensive selection of plant life. The
Touriseum (museum of tourism) tells the history of tourism, which began in this region over 200 years ago.

Therme Meran" you can choose from 25 pools and therapeutic baths, which each make the element of water really "come to life". Experience the cold sauna immersion bath, the current pool or the steamy, warm whirlpool.
Castle Juval in Naturns
The
Castle Juval was built in the 13th century by
Hugo von Montalban. The current owner is
Reinhold Messner, who has put together several art collections.
